Popular 80s misconceptions: E.T. never said "Phone home"

You've probably seen t-shirts, mugs and other stuff with E.T.'s finger or head on it while he's saying "Phone... home". It is the most popular quote from Steven Spielberg's all time classic. And it's probably in the top 10 quotes in movie history.

But in fact, E.T. never said that in the movie. He said "Home...phone". Say what? Yep, check it below.

So, it wasn't E.T. who said it, it was Gertie and Elliot.
